Dubrovnik, Croatia

My name is Ali and I am a travel addict. I’ve been in love with traveling since I was 14 years old when I took my first trip to Europe, and I’m always looking for ways to fit more travel into my life. I have visited each of the 7 continents before my 30th birthday. I also enjoy the planning aspect of travel – feel free to ask if you want any tips!

Last summer I met the love of my life on Twitter and we got married at the beginning of June. At the beginning of July, I moved to Germany with my new husband. I am currently on a 5 month round the world trip which started at the end of September.

Be sure to follow my upcoming adventures as an expat and long term traveler!

    Hi Alison,

I happened to see one of your posts on another blog (Where is Jenny), so followed the link to your blog. I’m a travel blog junkie right now :) I also love to travel, but unfortunately haven’t done as much as I’d like for the past year due to having an almost 15 year old dog with health issues. I don’t feel comfortable leaving her alone right now, and want to spend as much time as possible with her, since unfortunately I don’t think she will be around much longer.

But anyway, don’t want to dwell on sad subjects! Oddly enough, I noticed that you’re also in Atlanta! Love the photo above from Croatia – it looks very familiar. I was there a few years ago and it’s one of my very favorite countries! We went to Zagreb and then drove along the coast, stopping in several places until finally reaching Dubrovnik. Did you happen to go to Trogir? It’s smaller than Dubrovnik and I liked it best of all. Plitvice National Park was also gorgeous.

Thanks Traci! I love Jenny’s blog! So sad to hear about your dog, but always nice to “meet” another travel lover. When I went to Croatia, I only made it to Dubrovnik because I had very limited time, but I loved it there. Hopefully someday I’ll make it back to explore more of the country. Are you on Twitter? You should, the travel community on there is amazing! Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Yes, you should definitely go back to Croatia at some point – there are so many gorgeous places there! I do have a Twitter account, but hardly ever use it! I’ll have to check it out more for travel info!
