Heidelberg Castle is a fairly well known tourist attraction in Germany. It’s only a few hours away from where we live, so we went up there for a weekend last summer. While looking at a map of Heidelberg, we saw another castle called Tiefburg, so we decided to go see that one as well. It’s not as big as the Heidelberg Castle, but we actually liked it better. I think because it’s smaller, it looked more medieval and felt more real. There also weren’t any other tourists around, which gave it an entirely different vibe. We couldn’t go in because parts of it are still in use, and it was closed, but we were able to walk around the whole castle and took lots of photos. I really liked this view because you can see a tree growing inside through the window.

I liked Heidelberg. I missed this other castle though!

It’s a lot smaller, and probably not much of a tourist attraction, but I’m glad we noticed it on the map. Check it out if you ever go back to Heidelberg.
Sounds like a cool place!

Thanks, it was fun!
Beautiful shot! I always love these photos of windows and doors, this one is exceptional too.
Thanks Arti! My husband loves taking pictures of doors, so I’ve started noticing them more too.
