The tiny country of Brunei was never high on my list, but since Amanda and I were already going to Malaysian Borneo, we decided it was worth our time to make the short trip to Brunei. While I wasn’t overly impressed by the country, it was certainly different from the rest of Southeast Asia. We could tell right away that it was a wealthier country then most of the region. We could tell they take pride in their food, and it was delicious. And the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque was one of the most impressive mosques I’ve ever seen. I’m not in a rush to return to Brunei, but it was well worth the short visit.

I also contributed the Friday Photo for Meet, Plan Go. Check it out: Easter Island

I know it is actually on an island, but it definitely looks like it could belong in the desert as well.
