Tierra del Fuego National Park – Ushuaia, Argentina

Ushuaia, Argentina is the southernmost town in the world. It was also where my friend Amanda and I disembarked from our Antarctica cruise. We spent a good portion of our day at Tierra del Fuego National Park since our flight to Buenos Aires was in the evening. It was freezing cold because even summer in the southernmost town in the world feels like winter in most other places.  Unfortunately we stored most of our luggage before heading off to the park, so we didn’t realize just how cold it was until we got there. We ended up laying on every article of clothing we each had in our backpacks to try to keep warm. We looked ridiculous, but at least we were somewhat protected from the cold and wind. The park was gorgeous and peaceful, and we hardly saw any other tourists. Here are some pictures from that day:
